Bucephalandra Brownie Kapuas is a small variety that has deep, dark brown (nearly black!) leaves with an iridescent bluish-purple sheen when placed under quality aquarium LED lights. It is a small-leafed buce that is perfect for nano tanks or detailed work in larger planted aquariums. It grows slowly, but in a naturally dense manner that will eventually create patches of buce in your aquascape.
Most Bucephalandra plants are low maintenance and will be fine in low light tanks. However, growth speed, form and color are significantly improved when these plants are given a little more TLC. When happy, its easy to see why bucephalandra has a loyal fanbase. These aquatic plants are some of the most eye-catching species in planted aquaria.
