Echinodorus Small Bear is a very pretty, uncomplicated aquatic plant, also highly recommended for beginners. Echinodorus SmallBear belongs to the family Alismataceae. The hard-leaved plant is also suitable for aquariums with cichlids or emersed for a paludarium.
The aquatic plant has medium light requirements. Echinodorus Small Bear feels comfortable in a pH range between 5.8 and 7.5 in soft to medium-hard water. The water temperature should be between 18 and 32 Celsius. It is therefore also recommended for discus aquariums.
The red color of the leaves becomes stronger the more light is available to the plant. Echinodorus Small Bear grows medium fast and thanks a CO2 supply and a good supply of nutrients with a particularly beautiful leaf color! The height that can be achieved is approx. 25 cm. Propagation takes place via offshoots and rhizome division.
